Florida is trying to rebound from a disappointing 2007-08 season, so you think its players would have spent the offseason working on their game.
Not the case for guard Nick Calathes, who spent his offseason working on a different game — poker. And he still needs a lot work.
The sophomore incurred a $600 debt from playing online poker, an allegation that Gator officials said is not an NCAA rules violation.
''I did nothing wrong,'' Calathes said. "I talked to Coach [Billy] Donovan, I talked to the school and there's no problem. And I'll be here for the whole season.''
Donovan's program also produced Teddy Dupay, who was dismissed from the team after he gambled on college sports.
