Ernie Kent had no answer for Oakland's Johnathon Jones.
"He shoots a 17-footer that hits nothing but the bottom of the net," Kent said. "There’s not much you can do but tip your hat."
Jones had 32 points, 10 coming in overtime, as the Golden Grizzlies beat the Ducks at McArthur Court.
Jones was a non-factor in Oakland's 58-55 loss to Cleveland State to open the season, finishing with only eight points. But against Kent's Ducks, he seldom missed.
How much longer will Oregon fans continue to support Kent's underachieving teams?

Umm, deny him the ball? Box-and-one? Get a little physical with him (bump him off screens, little hand-checking… sometimes good scorers hate that)? Run him off a bunch of screens on the offensive end? Try different players on him? Contest his shots? Crowd him, make him beat you off the bounce and make sure to rotate lots of help his way? WOW!
