Penn State's Stanley Pringle has had his hands full this season after being charged with open lewdness and disorderly conduct last April when a woman accused him of masturbating in a university library.
Pringle denied the charges, telling police he had "a bad habit of putting his hand down his pants."
"Why would I need to masturbate?" Pringle told police, according to the criminal complaint filed against him. "This is how I chill, ma'am."
The guard has been hearing about his arrest from hecklers when the Nittany Lions venture on the road. "Library Man" is about as PG as it gets.
"I've got ears," Pringle said. "How can you not hear it? They're definitely trying to get in my head."
But Pringle has been at his best in road games, including a career-high 26 points at Wisconsin when he scored 20 of his team's final 27. He's averaging almost eight more points in road games and is shooting 47.4% from three-point range to lead the Big Ten.
"It's funny, because the more noise they make, the better I seem to like it," Pringle said. "Like when we were at Purdue, the guys were yelling all this stuff when I was at the free throw line, and I made both of them. The next time, they didn't say anything, and I missed one. I was like, 'Man!' "
