The fate of Kentucky coach Billy Gillespie will be announced Friday, but Rich Bozich of the Louisville Courier-Journal has a hunch what is going to transpire.
He is predicting that Gillespie will be fired and that Kentucky will make a run at Florida's Billy Donovan, who was No. 1 on the Wildcat wish list two years ago.
Why would Donovan want to leave this time? For one, Kentucky remains one of college basketball's plum jobs. It would give Donovan an opportunity to win national titles at two schools — something no college coach has done.
Why would he stay in Gainesville? The weather is nicer and he can live a more normal life, flying under the football-crazy radar for 11 months of the year.
