Remember Wayne Morgan, the former Iowa State and Long Beach State coach? Has has just been awarded a contract by the state of Iowa to help prisons in Fort Dodge and Newton convert from analog to digital television service.
Morgan, 58, is owner of Mid-Iowa Satellite, a TV business in Ames that also deals in telephone and satellite Internet services. He will be paid $13,500 by the state to install the services at the prisons.
"We are happy to do this, and we are excited about it," Morgan told the Des Moines Register.
Morgan coached the Cyclones from 2003-06 and had a record of 55-39, which included one NCAA tournament bid. He was fired and replaced by Greg McDermott.
Morgan was Long Beach State coach from 1996-2002 and had a record of 91-84.
