Northeastern plays host to Louisiana Tech on Saturday in one of the Bracket Buster games being telecast by ESPN. It's a big day for the school located in Boston, but you won't be reading much about it in the Boston Herald.
The newspaper has been running only box scores and short summaries on Huskies sports since late November. A feud started between the sides on Nov. 23, when the school announced the termination of its football program before a room full of TV, radio and print reporters.
The one media organization missing from that news conference was the Herald. Sports editor Hank Hryniewicz said Northeastern officials did not alert his department about the news conference, and he has asked Northeastern officials for an explanation but has been ignored.
